Initiating migration
Before starting your website’s migration from Mosaic to Fresco, you’ll need to have a confirmed tranche migration date. The Migration Team will contact you with a proposed date. If a site owner declines a tranche, a new "notional tranche" must be agreed upon, which may delay the process.
We also recommend completing any pre-migration prep before migrating to Fresco. Read our Pre-Migration Guide.
Complete the form
In order for us to auto-migrate your site, we need you to:
- Accept the pre-migration agreement sent to you by the Migration Support Team. This will be through a prefilled MS Form, which will also ask you for a cost centre code (usually 2 letters and 4 numbers).
- Attend a tranche kick off session if this is your first Mosaic website migration.
- Attend a Fresco training session if this is your first Mosaic website migration (optional).
Without completing these first two steps, we can’t process your migration request.
Implement a content freeze
Once the auto-migration process begins, any edits made to your Mosaic site won’t be reflected in Fresco. We therefore recommend implementing a ‘content freeze’ for two days while your site is auto-migrated.
Also, once your site is auto-migrated from Mosaic, you will need to duplicate any updates on both sites until your Fresco site is published and re-directs are set up to it. You may want to take this into consideration when reviewing and publishing your Fresco site.
